WOMEN’S HOCKEY

  • The Lady Islanders dropped a pair of home games this past weekend.  After 7-0 loss to 4th place St-Laurent on Saturday the Lady Islanders rebounded with a solid performance on Sunday, coming up short 4-3 to 3rd place Rimouski.
  • Courtney Bolduc, Samantha Tayler, Meghan Girard scored goals for the Lady Isles.
  • Netminder Karel Sarrazin stopped 38 of 42 shots.

RSEQ PROVINCIAL SWIM CHAMPIONSHIPS

  • John Abbott will host the 2015 RSEQ Provincial Swim Championships this Saturday and Sunday at the Pointe-Claire Aquatic Center.  The Islanders and Head Coach Cliff Barry are in search of their 7th consecutive provincial title.

HUDSON ST PATRICK’S DAY PARADE

  • About 25 Islander athletes, coaches and families participated in the 6th annual St Patrick’s Day Parade in Hudson at Saturday.  The athletes and coaches from the football, soccer volleyball and lacrosse teams handed out lollipops and Islander football and soccer schedules to the over 10,000 people.  The weather was great, warm with a winter wonderland snow fall.
  • “It is always a great event for our student-athletes and coaches to participate in, nothing better than handing out lollipops to kids and the weather really cooperated,” said Athletic Director Steve Shaw.  “Many thanks to our bus driver Andre Marceau for driving us out to Hudson and being it the parade.”
