Women’s Basketball Getting Ready for the Playoffs

The Isles continued their winning ways Friday evening when they defeated the Edouard Montpetit Lynx 82-51. Annie Pollender led Abbott with a solid 22-point performance while Rikki Blumenfeld added 18 and Darnelle Noel chipped in with 11. Prior to the game three graduating players, Sydney Netto, Blumenfeld and Noel, were recognized for their invaluable contributions to the team.

Swim Team Come Back Strong

The Isles regained top spot with a 117 point win over rivals Maisonneuve. As long as the Isles finish no more than 3 spots back of the Vikings they will bring home another regular season banner. It was a close battle for the men’s team, edging out the Vikings 365.5 to 352, but the women’s team had a dominant performance surpassing Maisonneuve by 103.5 points.

5 Isles Find the Back of the Net Against Lennoxville

In a balanced attack that led to a 5-3 win, 5 Isles were on the score sheet. Goals were scored by Jessica Bouchard (2), Sandrine Hachez (7), Juliana Classen (13), Hailey Burns (11) and Kate Ward (3). Five other Isles found the score sheet with assists. Aube Racine stopped 34/37 shots for her 12th win of the year.

Men’s Basketball Season Comes to a Close

In a must win game to get into the playoffs the Isles came up on the short end of an 83-77 score against Edouard Montpetit. Although they had the lead after 1 quarter of play, the Lynx fought back with a 14-4 run and never looked back. Graduating player Jordan Thornhill led the team with 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Cheer Looking to fine tune for Regionals

With an 8th place finish in the Winter competition the Cheer team will have to make some improvements if they want a top 4 finish to make it to Provincials.
