PC Technical Support Program - A.E.C. LEA.1S
CAREER PERSPECTIVES
The program graduate will be able to apply for work in a variety of areas related to technical support, including help desk, network support, database administration, telephony support, internet support and hardware specialist.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
The program’s objective is to teach entry level competencies necessary for effective participation as a PC Technical Support Technician in a business environment. Technical support technicians are expected to assist PC users in solving daily problems relative to applications, hardware, software and network connections. Upon completion of the program students will be able to:
- Install hardware and software.
- Set-up, maintain, troubleshoot and repair a computer work station.
- Work with a network administrator and other members of a support team.
- Maintain a help desk and provide customised services.
- Provide technical assistance per needs in a business environment.
PROGRAM COMPETENCIES
- Analyse the job function of a computer support technician.
- Communicate in English in a business environment.
- Apply critical thinking and problem solving in a PC technical support environment.
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for end users.
- Install and configure client operating systems.
- Apply networking principles in a simulated business environment.
- Apply IP telephony principles in a simulated business environment.
- Apply presentation techniques and job search skills.
- Apply knowledge and skills related to PC Technical Support disciplines in a business environment.

- This is a Tuition fee FREE program funded by the
"Le Ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport"
OTHER FEES
- Testing fee: $75
- Application fee: $30
- Registration fee: $87 per semester (3 semesters)
- Books: $800 - $1000 (approx.)
- Parking: $24 per month
