Ryan Lapointe – Head coach
Ryan Lapointe is a Bishop’s graduate with a B.A., major in Sociology and a minor in Business Administration.
Ryan played a major role in developing a lacrosse program at Champlain College in Lennoxville. As the Head Coach for the Champlain Cougars in 2003, the first year for lacrosse at Champlain, the Cougars won the inaugural Carleton Cup.
While at Bishop’s Ryan played for the Bishop’s Gaiters Field Lacrosse team for 3 years mostly as a defensive ling pole. In his last 2 years, he helped the Gaiters make it to the Canadian University championship game for national supremacy only to lose both times to the Brock Badgers. He also played in the Canadian Men’s Field Lacrosse Nationals in 2002 for the host Sherbrooke Aztecs and finished fourth in Canada.

Martin Robert – Assistant coach
Martin is a graduate from the John Abbott Police Tech program and has been a police officer for the Montreal Police Dept. for the last 9 years. He attended Simon Fraser University for 2 years for his certificate in criminology. While at Simon Fraser, Martin began his lacrosse experience as a mid-fielder with the univeristy lacrosse team in Vancouver, B.C. Since then, Martin has played 2 years of field lacrosse in the several senior field leagues in Quebec and a few box tournaments. He recently played longpole for the Toronto Police Dept.in the 2009 World Police Fire Games in Vancouver where they placed 4th in the world. Martin is in his 6th year of coaching lacrosse at John Abbott and has one provincial championship with JAC and 2 undefeated seasons.
