Established in 1999, the John Abbott College Foundation was created to support the College’s mission to provide an excellent education for its students within a stimulating learning environment that will enhance their development and potential for success in society.
Through its fundraising activities, the Foundation provides opportunities for students through the funding of scholarships, bursaries and financial assistance.
The Foundation is responsible for all fundraising programs that provide longer-term endowment funds, and supports the construction and renovation of facilities as well as access to technology, with a view of promoting an optimal learning environment.

BURSARIES, SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS CEREMONY
Following the tradition of lending support to the students of John Abbott College, the Foundation presented bursaries and scholarships totaling $57,995 at the Annual Awards Ceremony held June 8, 2017.
This ceremony is an opportunity for student recipients to meet those responsible for the financial gifts, in person, putting a face to the name.
On June 5, the John Abbott College Foundation held the 15th edition of its annual fundraising golf tournament. Tournament co-chairs Serge Poirier, General Manager, Caisse Desjardins de l’Ouest-de-l’Île and Greg Foss, Alumnus and former John Abbott football player presented a cheque to John Abbott College for $ 50,000 net.
Now that the accounting has been completed, the net profit for the event amounts to $66,500.

LOONIE LINE – MARCH 22, 2017
The loonies have been counted – the results are in – and the records have all been broken! We raised $20,006 on the Loonie Line 2017 today!
Started back in 2003, loonies are stuck to two-sided tape that runs the length of College – almost 800 feet (243 m)- to raise money for JAC students in need.
Everyone can use some help occasionally and if that means helping a student stay in school, the Assistance Fund at John Abbott is there for them. The Fund is set up to help with groceries, textbooks, registration fees and much more.
