50 BURSARIES FOR JOHN ABBOTT COLLEGE 50TH ANNIVERSARY

Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Québec – December 15, 2021- In celebration of 50 years of excellence in education and campus life, the John Abbott College Foundation is offering 50 bursaries of $500 throughout the current academic year; twenty-five bursaries have been disbursed this semester and the balance will be awarded during the winter semester.

One bursary recipient said: “It’s been hard to juggle work and school but this bursary will allow me to focus more on my studies during the week without having to worry about picking up more shifts to be able to support myself.”

Another recipient mentioned: “This bursary will help me achieve my academic goals because it will alleviate some of my financial stress and will greatly help me both with my expenses and with my mental health.”

Guy Lallemand, Chair of the John Abbott College Foundation Board of Directors stated: “The Foundation’s Board wanted to mark this landmark anniversary by reiterating our support and commitment to the students, our most valuable resources.”

 


 

50 BOURSES D’ÉTUDES POUR LES 50 ANS DU CÉGEP JOHN ABBOTT

Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, le 15 décembre 2021 – – Pour célébrer 50 ans d’excellence en matière d’éducation et de vie étudiante, la Fondation du Collège John Abbott offre 50 bourses d’études de 500 $ tout au long de l’année scolaire en cours; vingt-cinq bourses ont été versées cette session et vingt-cinq autres seront attribuées au cours de la session d’hiver.

Un des boursiers a déclaré : “Il a été difficile de jongler entre le travail et l’école, mais cette bourse me permettra de me concentrer davantage sur mes études pendant la semaine sans avoir à m’inquiéter de devoir prendre plus de quarts de travail pour pouvoir subvenir à mes besoins.”

Un autre a mentionné : “Cette bourse m’aidera à atteindre mes objectifs académiques car elle atténuera une partie de mon stress financier et m’aidera grandement à la fois pour mes dépenses et pour ma santé mentale.”

Guy Lallemand, président du conseil d’administration de la Fondation du Collège John Abbott, a déclaré : “Le conseil d’administration de la Fondation a voulu souligner cet important anniversaire en réitérant notre soutien et notre engagement envers les étudiants, nos ressources les plus précieuses.”
