Please click the Summer School 2021 course list above for full details on the days and times of the course offerings. The College will be closed on June 24, 2021 and July 1, 2021.

Summer School Fees
The deadline to pay Summer School fees is as follows:
Priority A: Within 24 hours of pre-registration (notification will be sent via OMNIVOX)
Priority B: Within 24 hours of pre-registration (notification will be sent via OMNIVOX)
Priority C: June 7, 2021 at 4:00 p.m.
Failure to pay fees by the deadline will result in deregistration.

International students must have a valid student visa and medical health insurance coverage until August 20, 2021 to be permitted to register.
***Fin d’études students who need 1-2 courses to graduate in the summer and, who have not been considered part-time or “fin d’études” in a previous semester will only be required to pay registration fees.***

Course Withdrawal and Refund Policy
To officially withdraw from a course, students must provide a written request by to e-mail: summerschool@johnabbott.qc.ca, which includes:
SUBJECT:
Withdrawal
BODY:
Your full name
Your Student ID
Course number and section number of the course you want to drop
Courses dropped from a student record before or on the official drop deadline will not appear on a student transcript.
All fees except registration and application fees will be refunded.
There will be no exceptions to these deadlines.
Attendance Validation
The day after the drop deadline, you must confirm your attendance in the course(s) in which you are registered using the OMNIVOX ATTENDANCE VALIDATION module.
Waitlist
If you were unable to register for a course, you can request to add your name to the waitlist by sending an email to summerschool@johnabbott.qc.ca. You must send one email per course.
Please include:
SUBJECT: Course and section number for which you want to have your name added to the waitlist.
BODY: Your full name and student ID number.
Students will be notified only if space becomes available.

What Is Your Priority?
PRIORITY A
Graduating students needing 1 to 3 courses to complete diploma requirements or graduating students needing extra courses to meet university prerequisites.
PRIORITY B
Students graduating in the Fall semester needing 1 or 2 courses above their regular course load for their program OR Students graduating in the Fall semester needing 1 or 2 summer courses to stay in sequence.
PRIORITY C
Non-graduating students.
How Do I Register?
PRIORITY A
- Between May 3 and June 3, 2021, you must complete the online Summer School Priority Registration form: Please follow this link.
- You will be pre-registered in your course(s) no later than June 3, 2021.
- Information will be sent to you via OMNIVOX under “Information Intended for You”.
IMPORTANT: No permission to take a course at another CEGEP (commandite) will be given for the same course(s) that you are pre-registered in at John Abbott
PRIORITY B
- Between May 3 and June 3, 2021, you must complete the online Summer School Priority Registration form: Please follow this link.
- You will be pre-registered in your course(s) no later than June 3, 2021.
- Information will be sent to you via OMNIVOX under “Information Intended for You”.
IMPORTANT: No permission to take a course at another CEGEP (commandite) will be given for the same course(s) that you are pre-registered in at John Abbott.
PRIORITY C
- You must complete the summer school registration survey on Omnivox between May 10 and May 28, 2021.
- Students will be notified, at the latest, June 3, 2021 by 4:00 p.m. via Omnivox of their appointment time.
- Registration will be on June 7, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
IMPORTANT: Due to limited space at other Cegeps, we will not be issuing commandites for any of the other Cegeps (example: Vanier and Dawson) but you can request a commandite to Cegep à Distance.
Request To Take A Course At Another CEGEP (Commandite) Procedures
IMPORTANT: Students are responsible for registering with the CEGEP where the course will be followed.

Between May 3 and June 18, 2021, John Abbott students who want to take a summer course at CEGEP à Distance must complete the online form below.

FRENCH CEGEPS (Commandite)
Si vous avez complété des cours de la formation générale dans un Cégep francophone et souhaitez poursuivre des cours dans un Cégep francophone cet été, vous pouvez consulter ce site pour une liste des Cégeps participants et des cours disponibles:

Vous devez envoyer un MIO à ADVISING, ACADEMIC au plus tard le 21 avril, 2021 avec le sujet SRAM COURS D’ÉTÉ pour obtenir un rendez-vous avec un API (Academic Advisor).
Fall 2021 Registration Adjustments (For Day Division Students)
- Potential graduates who fail a summer school course and did not register during the regular registration period must send an MIO to Office, Registrar’s by August 6, 2021 to correct any individual registration problems.
- Summer students who need to add/drop courses after receiving summer school grades in order to complete their registration for the Fall semester must send an MIO to Office, Registrar’s by August 10, 2021.
- Students currently registered at another CEGEP must obtain a “cours commandite” request from their CEGEP.
- Commandites will be processed between May 17 and May 28, 2021. Commandites received afterwards will not be processed.
- Once the commandite is processed at John Abbott College, students will receive an e-mail with a link to complete the application by paying the $30 application fee.
- Commandite students will be processed after John Abbott students that are Priority A & B.
- Students will be notified, at the latest, June 4, 2021 by 4:00 p.m. via Omnivox of their appointment time.
IMPORTANT: Commandite forms do not guarantee placement in courses.
- Between May 19 and May 26, 2021, students who are currently not attending a CEGEP level institution must complete the application form.
- Once the application form has been completed, students will receive an e-mail with a link to complete the application process by paying the $30 application fee.
- Students will be processed after John Abbott students that are Priority A & B.
- Students must e-mail the documents below, depending on where they are born, to summerschool@johnabbott.qc.ca
Born in Quebec
- Your valid Quebec birth certificate (indicating parents’ names)
AND - Statement of Marks IF you graduated high school outside of Quebec or obtained an equivalent diploma
Born in Canada, but not in Quebec
- Your valid birth certificate (indicating parents’ names)
AND - One of your parents’ valid Medicare card (if living with your parents) OR Your valid Medicare card (if no longer living with your parents)
AND - Statement of Marks IF you graduated high school outside of Quebec or obtained an equivalent diploma
Born outside of Canada, but are a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Your valid birth certificate (indicating parents’ names) in English or French
AND - Canadian citizenship papers (both sides) OR permanent residency papers (both sides)
AND - Certificat de Sélection (CSQ) – If applicable
OR - One of your parents’ valid Medicare card (if living with your parents) OR Your valid Medicare card (if no longer living with your parents)
AND - Statement of Marks IF you graduated high school outside of Quebec or obtained an equivalent diploma
