The Montreal Police Brotherhood Helping the Community

On Monday, November 15, the JAC Foundation welcomed representatives of the SPVM Station 1 on their annual round of giving to worthy causes. They presented the Foundation with a cheque of $720 for the College food bank called “The Pantry,” to provide food for students struggling financially.

For 53 years now, the Montreal Police Brotherhood has organized the Journée fèves au lard (Beans Day) and fed thousands of people in need. They have raised and distributed $millions to the community. Like in so many cases, the pandemic has made tough situations even more difficult.  Fortunately donations to the Brotherhood stayed quite steady allowing them to continue giving back to a very appreciative community.
