FAQs Sustainability

Students are encouraged to participate in existing projects or contribute new ideas for sustainability projects on campus. They can do so by joining an “Eco” club, such as: Eco JAC, JAC Harvest, Trash Talk or the Vegan Club. Students can also voice their ideas and comments through SUJAC’s Congressional Sustainability Committee or by visiting the office of the Student Life Counsellor responsible for sustainability activities on campus.
The Sustainability Committee is made up of representatives from the college community. This includes student representatives from SUJAC’s Congressional Sustainability Committee. They address sustainability issues on campus and make recommendations to the Director’s Table. In the coming year, the Committee will address greenhouse gas emissions related to transportation as well as undergo a consultation process for the development of a Sustainability Action Plan.
